![]() Last year, we learned that Mother Nature likes to rain a lot in spring, making our soil unworkable and early planting nearly impossible, so this year we prepped the pea, onion and potato beds in late fall. With a recent two-day window of clear skies, we were able to plant four 125' beds of Torpedo Onion and Lancelot Leek plants. |
![]() Beautiful and tasty, Grandpa Admires from Seed Savers Exchange is our favorite lettuce. It grows rapidly and keeps on producing over a long time in the greenhouse. In the summer, it makes HUGE heads of lush lettuce. |
![]() This All Star Lettuce Mix was seeded in late September, planted in the greenhouse in late October, and we started harvesting it in December. Using individual leaf selection, we should continue to be provided with salad mix into May. |
